3DA: How did you start working in 3D field? How much time has passed?
TM: I started about 14 years ago – I was helping my father and working in a local studio by the time in a few projects, very basic renders and not entirely sure what I was doing… But I was really loving it! :)
3DA: Tell us something about a project that gave you great satisfactions
TM: This is a tricky one… GlassHouse, a personal image for portfolio… Really enjoyed working on this image, from concept to finish: mood, composition, light studies and workflows that I’ve start using in my daily work. Learned a lot with this image!
3DA: From where do you take inspiration for your artworks?
TM: Photography mainly… And of course, the web :) I have a great admiration for artists like Luis Cardoso, Peter Guthrie and Bertrand Benoit. Amazing and inspiring work! Also admire the work from the all the artists\team behind the big ArchViz studios like, MIR, Luxigon, Vyonyx , Hayes Davidson…
3DA: What would you suggest to people that are approaching to 3D and architecture?
TM: Trial and error… Test, experiment, fail, challenge yourself, imagine, create !! Nowadays, I personally think there are many resources out there, tutorials and ways to achieve what you’re looking for…Search, get involved, share. Don’t get carried away with software barriers or plugins crashing, they’re just a tool to help you with your end result :) Maximize your workflows, avoid long render times and love what you do!
