3DA: How did you start working in 3D field? How much time has passed and what kind of studies did you do?
DC: I started in 2006, when I studied Technical Drawing. At beginning I used Auto Cad only. A friend later recommended me to use 3ds Max, and after understanding how powerful this tool was, I started spending all my free time searching & testing every 3ds Max tutorials that I found and it has remained like this until the present day.

3DA: Which are your favorite software and plugins for your daily projects?
DC: My favorite combo is 3ds Max+Vray & Photoshop for post-production, Marvelous Designer & Zbrush are great tools too!

3DA: Tell us something about a project that gave you great satisfactions
DC: I think that project, was my first work as a freelancer,”La Posada”, it wasn`t a big one, but it was the first step to that I want to be, a full time 3D artist.

3DA: From where do you take inspiration for your artworks?
DC: Most of time from the work of masters like Benoit, Alex Roman, Guthrie and others, and of course the real world. Sometimes I see places or buildings and then, I try to do it in 3D. Another great way to learn and practice.

3DA: How do you live this period of economic crisis? How is it in your country?
DC: We hear about the crisis everyday and everywhere, it affects the people in different ways, my country is small, and the situation of the neighbor countries affect us more than our own crisis. One of the most affected sectors is the building industry as most of the investments come from foreign investors.

3DA: What would you suggest to people that are approaching to 3D and architecture?
DC: First of all, passion in what you`re doing, it makes your way easier, study & practice a lot, there are thousands of tutorials in the web that you can do. Look photos, try to understand what happens with the light, colors etc. Master Was Beginner like us.
