Be self-critical with your work: try to find the balance between the time spent on a project and the quality.
To all 3D artist I always suggest consistency, this is the key! Always looking for inspiration, and always enjoy what you are doing in any detail.
I have a degree in architecture, but my university did not give any inspiration to become an architect. To say more – it did completely the opposite. But I always liked to make beautiful presentations of my projects. I needed to work and to earn money so I decided to learn 3d.
Basically, 3D was just a hobby for me but ended up being a way of life. In the beginning I used to have it as a second job but then days went by and I loved it even more and in 2008 I opened my own office and named it xDream3D.
Due to short deadlines I prefer adding details in postproduction, I find it very fun. I really love photoshop integration.
Every project I start with collecting information: drawings, textures, photos etc. Professional architecture photos help to understand the atmosphere - to play with light and shadow and to create realistic details of the environment.
I'm interested in two aspects of the field. First: Render to show the new materials and new technology. Second: Use new technology to help architectural design
When I studied architecture, I also learned about 3d and I liked this sphere more, so after my graduation I started working professionally on the 3d - that was 1 year ago.
Never stop, always move forward, learn something new, improve your skills no matter how high your current level is.
For every new project, we try to understand the clients’ needs and to offer him a feedback of solutions and artistic guidelines adapted to the project.
I started 3D aproximately two years ago when I first started my architecture degree; a friend of mine showed to me Sketchup software wich had a huge impact over me and since then I've been getting more and more into 3D.
You need to really enjoy what you do. ArchViz is a brilliant career but with many obstacles along the way.
