3DA: Why have you decided to work in 3d-field and when have you started? Where you studied?
YB: I set foot in the CG world in 1999. The most significant factor which pushed me forward me was my passion for 3D cartoons. However, because of working conditions, I felt that I would, perhaps, be more successful in architecture and simulation. I graduated with a M.SC in school of national TV. I have been teaching in this field since 2001 and until today, I have published 10 books related to 3dsMax and V.Ray in Farsi.

3DA: Which software you usually use for your projects? What has surprised you during the last year?
YB: I usually use 3dsMax and V-Ray in most projects, nevertheless I have broadened my horizon by using Lumion and Marvelous. In my opinion, 3dsMax is one of the best choices for the ones interested in architecture due to the fact that it has a wide variety of plugins. Recently, release of Lumion software to the CG world was a great surprise to me.

3DA: What was most difficult for you when you just started working in 3D? And what is now?
YB: Not that long ago, in 1999, internet was a problem in my country and even in public centers internet connectivity was a disaster. Lack of resources, not having access to the internet, and lack of relevant university in the field could be among my biggest problems in learning 3D. The way I see it, there is a fine line between being good and being a professional, and to cross it is not simple in anyway. Time, effort, hope and experience are necessary for achieving professionalism.

3DA: What you can advise to the students who are just starting their way in CG?
YB: Fortunately, nowadays, there are enough education resources available to everyone. The best suggestion for newbies is being patient and persistent. To boost creativity, taking pictures is highly recommended while paying more attention to surrounding world and worlds architecture.

3DA: What forecast you can make about the future of 3d-world in general?
YB: Progress of 3D industry has been beyond imagination in recent years, nonetheless, what future holds seems a bit scary. What seems to be within the realms of possibility is that competition between software companies will make progress faster than what it used to be.
