3DA: How did you start working in 3D field? How much time has been passed and what kind of studies did you do?
MP
: I always admired visual scenarios built by Lucas and Cameron:I consider it very fascinating to know that nothing in their movies was real…Then I understood it was a great opportunity to create imaginary worlds myself and for my country.
In 2010 I was still studying in College of business administration, where I needed to create a business plan for my final presentation. That’s how I decided  to open a studio in 3D. I began my studies in 2010. I spent some time learning just by articles available on-line and with some  help of my friends – for sure, I have to thank different artists around the world. In 2011 I started my first official work.

3DA: Tell us something about a project that gave you great satisfactions
MP: Certainly my best known project is the Loft done with MIMOStudio for Architects Insomnia. This scene has won several awards and was mentioned in major CG forums.
For me it is the design that I enjoy most. To tell the truth, I’m never satisfied with my work. I am in constant evolution. I believe that my next project will be done better.

3DA: Where do you take inspiration for your works?
MP: I have a lot of favorite artists in Archviz. But today I’m more following the photographers specialized in architecture. They have the most influence on my current  work. I’m always looking at the portfolio of Fernando Guerra, Pedro Kok and Ditte Isager. They are part of the good side of the force. Also there is a place where I’m always present – it is the FB group Vray Workshop.
There you can contact some of the best artists and broaden your network.

3DA: How do you live this period of economic crisis?
MP
: In our time of globalization, one leaf falling on the one side of the ocean can affect everyone. And it looks like there are more 3d-artists now than architects. My main work remains concentrated in Brazil, but meanwhile I also get offers to work outside my country. Brazil lives in times of games. World Cup football in 2014 and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games are in full swing works.  Brazil is a huge country, has plenty of land, but that does not make life here any easier, since unfortunately most of the power is concentrated in just a few hand.
The truth is that the land is very expensive in Brazil and ends up in the hands of speculators. I believe the government should support people who actually have an interest in building. In this way, the architects, designer, engineers, 3d-artist as the whole market can grow.

3DA: What do you suggest for people who are coming to 3D field?
MP
: First and most importantly, love what you do. Fall in love, feel happy for what you do. Always search the best artists and find out what they usually use. Never loose the connection with what is happening in the industry. Never stop fighting.
