3DA: How did you start working in 3D field? How much time has been passed?

AC: I started working with 3ds Max since version 3, I believe it was Discreet or Kinectrix, not remember very well. I remember that I was thrilled with some videos of the season that illustrated the program as a meteor falling in flames, what caught my attention and I fell in love with this software since then. I’ve been working in several areas, not only in architecture but also in animation, during my career I went through major studios here in Brazil, so I had the opportunity to learn more each day. The beginning is always very difficult, and we must persist to achieve a target in the market, that is very competitive searching market professionals with high quality. This is why one has to to be qualifying every day. Today I have a big dream: I want to be part of a great team in a great studio outside of Brazil. It would qualify me professionally and meet other working methods as well as different cultures, I believe this would be very important for me professionally.

3DA: Which are your favourite software and plugins for your daily projects?

AC: I don’t have a favorite software, currently I develop a lot of work and architectural visualization with 3ds Max, it has a pretty simple platform to work in this segment. I daily use 3ds Max, Vray and Photoshop plus some scripts to develop my work as the Relink Bitmaps; my friend Colin Senner and some others like the Cleaner package, Leles Script and all you guys can find these scripts in ScriptSpot …it is the best!

3DA: Tell us something about a project that gave you great satisfactions

AC: Well a job that gave me much satisfaction was my last job, I was really surprised with the repercussion of this work, I show it to people and some of them approached me saying they thought my work was incredible, and I know this may seem common place to some artists in this area that was most amazing to me. I was really happy with all the visibility that this work has brought me. I also got published on DesignConnected’s gallery, I was very happy with it, as said above may seem simple and common for some more, for me it was wonderful, always used in my work and models of DesignConnected and being in the gallery with my work was an immense satisfaction, and when CGrecord’s team contacted me to write a tutorial…I can not tell you the joy I felt! It is the realization of the years I spent studying hard and working, and now everyone can see my work, it really has no price.

3DA: What would you suggest to people that are approaching to 3D and architecture?

AC: Study hard, learn the architecture of the great architects of our history like Calatrava, Norman Foster, Oscar Niemeyer, Le Corbusier among thousands of wonderful architects that we have, ask questions, get in forums to find as much information as needed so that they can determine the best line work. I always ask questions to friends who have always questioning artists seeking to learn something every day. Also use lots of reference: it is indispensable to anyone who wants to enter this business.
